What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle energy healing practice that promotes relaxation and balance. Because Reiki is energy-based, remote sessions can be just as powerful as in person. Clients often find they go into very deep relaxation in their own safe, familiar space, without the logistics of traveling to and from an appointment.

How do sessions work?

Sessions happen via Google Meet, phone, or we'll try to accommodate your preferred method.

Do I need special equipment?

No special equipment is needed; just a comfortable spot where you won’t be interrupted. You will also need a phone or computer with internet, depending on our method of connecting.

Is music included?

Yes, I can play music during our session or send some for you to play from your own device.

How long is a session?

Sessions typically last about 45 minutes to an hour, but you can schedule 90 minutes or let me know you prefer longer.

What should I expect after a session?

After we connect and discuss your intentions, I start with a guided meditation, then we move into the Reiki energy work tailored to you. Some clients prefer to stay silent until the end, and some tell me their experiences or allow sounds and emotions to be expressed throughout. We close with time for processing and grounding you back into your body.

What should I expect during a session?

Be gentle with yourself, drink lots of water, be curious. You may see colors more vividly, may be very tired or energized, may have epiphanies continue to come up, or may just feel relaxed. It's interesting to pay attention to your dreams after a Reiki session. If you need additional support, please reach out. You are not alone.

Do sessions always get into trauma?

Not at all. I have specialized additional training, so I am prepared to hold space and process with you, if that serves you. However, many people want to work with general stress or physical pain, or simply to have a relaxing and pleasant experience, and those are all welcome intentions. No outcome can be guaranteed, but those are common reasons for seeking Reiki.
